Flying Vehicles Concept - Audi Shark by Designer Kazim Doku

Here's a very cool flying vehicles concept called the Audi Shark by Designer Kazim Doku. Winner of the Desire Design Competition, this flying Vehicles Concept is so cool you probably won't see it in this lifetime. The Audi Shark incorporates the streamlined design of motorcycles and airplanes, while still flaunting Audi's signature design. The Audi Shark comes with sporty seats integrated in the cockpit structure, while the lights (both headlights and the taillights) are finished with transparent tubes that incorporate LED units. Maybe we will see this one in...oh...say... 40 years.

So you should be happy viewing it or photos of it, because there aren’t many chances to drive one. Now let’s just wait and see.

Model concept cars

The auto shows are amazing. They show all of these super cool looking cars that are to come and some of the new features on the current model cars. They also show new designs that will be implemented on current cars. As amazing as it is, there is one thing that gets me about these shows. It's the concept cars.Concept cars are cars that are seriously being thought about publicly selling. When they show off a concept car they are getting feedback on the car they are thinking about releasing. Concept cars are usually not in final form but they can be almost completed as far as the body work goes. One thing about concept cars is that they look really awesome. The new styling on some of these cars is just amazing to look at. Even if all you see are the pictures online! Now here lies the problem with concept cars. They are not done yet. They are like a teaser of the real car that may or may not be made available and produced for the public.Take for instance the new Chevy Volt. A lot of buzz was created when GM introduced a concept car, the Chevy volt a few years ago. The car not only looked amazing it had some great features. It could run on all battery power and it did not use its gas engine to power the wheels. Instead it used its motor to power a generator to charge a set of batteries which then ran the car. Each wheel has an electric motor built in.It has yet to be released, but it could be the style of car for the future. The future in which cars are electric. The problem is they ruined it! General Motors teased us with a beautiful looking car only to change its body style almost completely compared to the concept version. Now it looks like a Chevy Impala/Toyota Yaris smashed together. It is a bit different than the impala but it's too similar for my liking. There is nothing wrong with the impala but what GM had was a totally new style, a body for a new never released car. It looked great and would have stood out a lot. Now for the preview of the production car we get half of what we wanted. So that's what bugs me about car shows and the concept cars. Just don't fall in love with a concept car too much as you may be disappointed by the production version.

Concept Car 2004 : Audi RSQ

The futuristic film car Audi RSQ was presented to the public for the first time on April 7, 2004 at the New York International Automobile Show. Audi tackles its most ambitious product placement project ever: For the epic event motion picture „I, ROBOT“, Audi Design developed the spectacular vehicle, which helps leading actor Will Smith - a homicide detective in the year 2035 - solve a mystery that could have grave consequences for the human race. Fox releases "I, ROBOT“ in the U.S. on July 16; the film arrives in Germany in August.

In the near future, technology and robots are a trusted part of everyday life. In „I, ROBOT“, that trust is broken and one man, alone against the system, sees it coming. The film employs spectacular visual effects innovations beyond any ever put on screen, to bring a world of robots to life. The film is directed by Alex Proyas (Dark City, The Crow) and is set in a world created by famed science fiction writer Isaac Asimov in his short story collection “I, ROBOT“. For the first time ever, Audi developed a car specifically for a major Hollywood motion picture. Audi engineers created a car for „I, ROBOT’s” incredible world of 2035

Hungary is not the first place that comes to mind when thinking about cutting edge green vehicles, yet. If the creators of the Antro Solo have their way, the country will be synonymous with green machines by 2012. The Antro Solo is a solar, human and gas-electric hybrid vehicle. It looks like nothing else out there, and has a fuel efficiency of more than 150 miles per gallon!
India is presently ranked 17th amongst auto car manufacturing countries in the world. Keeping in pace with the ever growing demand for cars, the production of cars has also been on a high off late. Thanks to a huge export potential and favorable Government policy, multinational companies have been eyeing at India to set up their manufacturing facilities. According to auto experts and analysts, India is poised to become third largest auto car manufacturing hub in the world by 2020.
Amongst the newly launched cars in small & mini car segment, General Motors’ Chevrolet Spark & Aveo U-Va have received tremendous response from the market. With the launch of these Chevy brands, General Motors India has thrown a tough competition to the predominant Indian auto giants like Tata and Maruti. The stupendous growth the GM car sales bears testimony to the growing popularity of Chevy brands in India. Hyundai and Fiat are the other major players that are present in this segment.

New BMW GINA Light Visionary Model Car Is One Sexy Shape-Shifter

The new BMW concept car is a shape-shifter? Hrmmm, this bears looking into. The new BMW GINA Light Visionary Model car is created using a flexible fabric that is rather stretched over a manipuable metal frame. So you can basically change the actual shape of your car based on what features you activate. More of like a classy Thing.
This is currently no word on if this beautiful machine will actually go into production, but my vote is a definite yes!

Covini C6W: Freak Sports car

The old adage: “It is better to have two hands than one” seems to have rightfully influenced the automobile industry as well. Sporting six-wheels instead of regular four, the Covini C6W by Covini Engineering don’t let you stay in your virtual world as presents you with a real freak that takes pride in running on six wheels. But undoubtedly, the latest model has it all—Style, spark, substance with a tinge of machismo

If you happen to get a chance to take a ride over it then burn the roads in the geography where this revolutionary coupe is appreciated. This model offers a commendable grip and better braking facility.

Spotting Godzilla

-This year the car to see at the show was the fabled Nissan GT-R. The car was dubbed "Godzilla" after its dominating track performance. The latest model is finally coming to the states this year. I don't think it is the greatest looking car in the the world but performance-wise this car is hard to beat for the price. It is quicker and can handle better than a Porsche 911 Turbo for half the price!
-Visiting the Chicago Auto Show always makes me think about what vehicles I would purchase if I was as rich as Jay Leno. Now that man has a car collection! So if I ever stumble onto a heap of money I would buy two of each of these.
Saloon: BMW M5. Any car with a "power" button that gives you more than 100 hp with one push is just fantastic. Coupé: Aston Martin DBS. It is a beautiful car plus James Bond drove one. Convertible: Mazda MX-5. This car is the only car I've actually driven on the list and is affordable. It was definitely a joy to drive. Great fun to toss around the corners.Super Car: Ferrari F430. I know there are many faster and more obnoxious super cars like the Koenigsegg CCX or the Pagani Zonda but the Ferrari F430 is a classic. It was Lambos or Ferraris on the Trapper Keeper when I was young. I'll stick with a red Ferrari F430.Estate: Subaru Impreza WRX STi Wagon. This wagon is JDM only but well worth going to Japan for. Luxury Car: Audi A8. It was voted the best car to drive by chauffeurs. They drive all day long so they can't be wrong.SUV: Land Rover Range Rover Sport that is until the LRX comes out. Land Rovers are real SUVs that can actually go off road. All those nature shows I watched as a kid always had Land Rovers. They can conquer deserts, mountains, attacks by lions, etc. Truck: Ford F150. Come on now! Americans know trucks.Hatchback: Volkswagon Golf R32. Dropping a V6 into a puny little car was a great idea.

Veyron Pur Sang

Bugatti have released pictures of there new limited edition Veyron, called the Pur Sang. There will only be 5 units ever made with a price tag that is still to be announced.
The Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang has a body shell made for extremely pure aluminum alloy, a carbon fiber monocoque body with no paint what so ever. This means that, as well as looking amazing, the Pur Sang will be nearly 100kgs lighter then the “normal” Veyron, giving it a power to weight ratio of 530bhp/tonne (if my maths are right lol), making the fastest car in the world even faster.

British steam car challenge

The goal of the British steam car challenge is to create the world's fastest car -- using alternative fuels. Their aim is to reach 150 mph on British soil and then 200 mph at the Bonneville salt flats in Utah. Four LPG-powered boilers will feed the turbine engine with steam pressure, and the car will operate at total loss, consuming and expending the entire volume of water it carries for each run. If you want to contribute to this historic feat, you can support it for as little as £1 at the British Steam Car Appeal website. Britain needs YOU! [GT]

Fastlane "Future Car"

Now here's a Fiero bodykit that's worthwhile. TransFX, a California-based custom car maker responsible for several GM concepts as well as lots and lots of Batman's cars, boats, and planes, built four of these bodies for a Universal Studios project. Designed to be mounted on a stretched Fiero chassis, only a single roadgoing version exists, and the Volo Auto Museum will sell that to you for $65,000. You could spend less than one third that price and pick up this body shell, allowing you to then dream up your own undercarriage. We think it'd be good with a Porsche Boxster plugged in underneath. What you get for $14,000 is a very cool futuristic bodyshell on casters. The outside might look an awful lot like a car, but climbing underneath tells the whole story. There's nothing to this car, yet. Its just waiting for you to marry your chassis to its bodywork. Then you'll have the task of creating the entire wiring harness, installing all the lights, the interior, and about a quintillion little issues that always crop up with kit cars, which this essentially is. What we want to know is what ever became of the project these props were commissioned for. We also hope that whoever wins the auction at least uses a Fiero GT as a donor. It just wouldn't do to put this car on a 2M4. The Iron Duke is definitely not an engine befitting Batman. Then again, the GT's 2.8 is merely suited to Boy Wonder. Now, a Northstar starts to show promise. Hmm. Thanks for the tip, Jordan!
